The Gold Coast Broadwater is such a great place to head out on the water and be able to cross the bar. As an avid deep-sea fisherman, I don’t even mind when it gets a bit busy on the weekends because we generally head across to the open ocean anyway. Also, being retired helps the fact that we have the option to choose the days that we head out.
My wife loves a packed lunch out on the water and we’ll always take a small bottle of white or sparkling wine, she always says it feels a bit like an open water date.
